**"Despite our exhilarating victory in the F1 (HOCR) UIM Pleasure Navigation World Championships, our hopes for a Double Championship were dashed due to the inclement weather that forced the cancellation of three heats at the OCRD National Championships. While we maintained a significant lead over Team 66, a crucial rule change ultimately determined the outcome. Team 66 secured the F1 National Championship title by a narrow margin, even though we outperformed them in the overall OCR standings. We extend our gratitude to our sponsors, Western Towing, and to the dedicated volunteers who make OCRDA and Aqua Adrenaline possible. We also thank those who are stepping down for their invaluable contributions."** |
- Our recent AGM was marked by a heartfelt farewell from Commodore Paul Scott (Scottie), who stepped down after 17 years of dedicated service. In a moving Zoom address, he expressed his gratitude to both the committee and members, sharing words that will undoubtedly resonate with us for years to come. We offer our deepest thanks to "Scottie" for his tireless efforts and unwavering commitment throughout his tenure. In appreciation of his dedicated service, the Club has conferred to Paul the title Commodore Emeritus. As we turn a new page, we warmly welcome COMMODORE DAVE FOA as our new man in the hot seat.
